if you want a really good read, try either of the two following sites: thecompanybitch.blogspot.com or redactedblog.blogspot.com. both are smart and the latter is verbose, but witty.
by the way, happy thanksgiving! i didn't really celebrate it, though i have to talk about it tomorrow in class. i spent my last thanksgiving in france in a restaurant that tried its darnedest to recreate the American holiday authentically for my group. our meal consisted of beef-stuffed turkey and unidentifiable vegetables. for dessert we had the choice between pumpkin pie and chocolate cake. having seen the french versions of turkey and stuffing, i opted for the chocolate cake. good choice. i tasted one of my neighbor's pumpkin pie slices and it was atrocious. french pastry crust (good) with under-sugared pumpkin paste (very, very bad). wishing you all a much better meal than that one.
